Do you dread summer?

Oh hey you pretty little people. Just so you know - I AM STILL MAKING on this diet!! WOOPDEEWOOP. I am shocked. But last night this statement was made by yours truly - Oh my gosh the trash smells DELICIOUS!!! - yes I just admitted that.

More updates later because my sweet sweet & witty sponsor, Ashley from The Ugly Homemaker {<--- hiiilarious name} is here to take over my bloggity-blog for the day.

And let's be honest. Everyone dreads something about summer. I hate being cold so I love being hot, but I hate that I cannot get away with wearing jeans all summer because I hate my kneecaps. There I said it - now you know why I dread summer but listen to Ashley describe why she hates summer.
-------------------------------

People are nuts about summer.

They love to bust out the sandals and expose their funky toes.

Let their kids get sticky popsicle fingers.

Wear strapless bras.  Which is my nightmare because let's be honest, after kids I've gone too far south for anything strapless to support me.

Anywho...

I'm starting to believe I'm the only one who dreads summer.

I'm sorry.

Don't socially reject me.

It's just that...

I'm not a fan of the public restrooms smelling like cooped up lady parts.

I gag when my two year old removes his crocs and reveals his sweat induced pruney toes.

Can you blame me?  And this picture was taken after I brushed the twigs and grass clippings off.  Gross.  Me.  Out.

I feel guilt for exposing my near blinding legs to the public.

Look out, retinas beware!

So what's all the hype about?  What am I missing?

Guess I better get used to it.  Summer is officially here.

Praying for a cool summer and an early fall!

There are actually lots of things I don't like about summer, either! I HATE wearing shorts and/or flip flops, but in the hot summer sun it is sometimes the most practical. I don't like really hot weather. I hate being out of work (I'm a teacher!) and feeling unproductive. There are more things, but I will stop there! Cool post!

I love love love summer.
I hate the sweat.

If I could live WITHOUT ever sweating (ANYWHERE) I would live in 110* heat.

HOWEVER, since I sweat like a pig, sometimes I dread summer. Mostly though, I really love the sunshine.

Toes creep me out, though. Even baby ones. Ick.

I have uglier knees! And I never ever wear anything that shows them in public.

Fun post!

I've always love that it's my birthday season. That alone is enough to have me LOVING summer. But yes, there certainly are pitfalls to summer as well. Each season has something good and something bad.
