Okay - so could my title be ANY longer? Yeah probably but I couldn't think of any other way to describe what I am about to do. And it's a big damn deal.
You see if you know me, on like a personal level to the extent you've hung out with me EVER in my lifetime you could basically sum it up like this - I am lazy, I like to do what I want to do, I don't get involved, & I eat entirely way too much fast food. OKAY there are SOME good things about me, I hope but for real I would classify myself as one of the most unhealthy people I know.
Now before I hear anyone say but you are skinny so you can't be that unhealthy - but folks I just got lucky. I have gotten comments before stating, I can't believe you aren't fat the way that you eat. I am 100% aware.
But something has changed - well my dad says ever since I moved to California I've become a new woman & in a good way. To me that is probably the best compliment I've ever received. Trust me, out of all people, he knows how lazy I once was.
Ever since Pinterest & my blogging obsession I get so inspired. Not necessarily to go all crazy & work out nonstop & eat NOTHING bad because we all know that is NOT going to happen. One of my biggest inspirations is Allison @ Feeding My Temple - I am so lucky to have been sponsoring her for the past 2 months because for me, she is a daily read. You should check her out.
So I am going to take you on this journey I plan to take. I am going to show you my INTENTIONS & how it truly works & what I actually do.
I am not here to lose weight, I want to be healthy & feel good about myself because now that I will be 27 year my body is slowly telling me I am wearing myself out but could do so many things different to prevent that.
My hope for you is that you follow & can encourage me throughout this because I am sure times will get hard for me but I need the push & motivation. I also hope that I can realistically show people that anyone can do it. Trust me - I work 40 hours a week, have 2 kids, a house to clean, a budget, blah blah blah.. So this will be as real as it gets. At least for me ;)
Running Walking Schedule
Sunday - Alarm set at 5am {it won't kill you} BUT I am a morning person, do it at night if you can't get up in the morning. Walk/run
Monday - Walk with kids around the block
Tuesday - 9pm run/walk
Wednesday - Walk with the kids around the block
Thursday - BREAK
Friday - Alarm set 5am walk/run
Saturday - Alarm set 630am walk/run with friends
*Now please remember these times are beneficial for me & my family & for me alone - I know they will change
Food Intake
Breakfast - smoothies or fruit
Lunch during the week - Salads
Lunch during the weekends - Full meal
Dinner during the week - Full meal
Dinner during the weekends - Salads
*Basically I am not taking anything out of my diet just watching how I eat it & how much of it that I eat. I am a HUGE salad eater. If you do not like salads supplement it with a smaller full meal portion.
Alterations
Pop or soda whichever name you prefer - I am a BIIG pop drinker so we are no longer buying it for the house but when we go out I plan to have one, I am not eliminating this fully.
Water - I plan to drink more because I hate it. 2 water bottles a day for me is enough although I know it's not the preferred.
Alcohol - biggy for me, not a drunk but I like a good drink .. One day a week.
Fast food - HUGE for me, no more than once every 2 weeks.
Snacks - Nothing strict but I do plan on snacking in-between meals but in moderation & not crrrrazy. At least those are my intentions!

2 things - I plan to do is run in the Color Me Rad race in Fresno {which inspired the running} with some local ladies & once every 2 months partake in the 7 day diet. Kristin & I plan on trying this out this week to encourage each other + I got Chris to do it with me!!
Please please note that I am not counting calories nor am I watching my weight {I do not even own a scale}. I am doing this so I feel good each & every day!

hey, I love this! I've been doing the same thing but partly to lose the baby weight that just won't quit :) overall though I'm just trying to be healthier overall because I know it's better for me. going to check out feeding my temple now!

Oh and btw, I have been really wanting to try out that 7 day diet too! I have just been too lazy to go out and buy all the ingredients and actually do it (sad huh??). Let me know when you're gonna try it out...I want in on that when you do! :-) I probably can't stand to lose ten lbs (lucky with a thin body just like you), but I want could always use the flatter stomach and I know it's a good detox diet since it's all fresh food!! :-)

Oh wow just read this post. I am behind on my readings...I started last wknd on the treadmill. 4miles a day...no calorie counting or strict dieting either. Good for you babe! You are a hot mama already...now all your food tweets make sense. Xx
